It's been far too long since my first {Un}Real Estate post and I am just itching to share some more ridiculous real estate eye candy with you, so without further ado I present a NYC penthouse fit for a rock-star.  Literally...

All for $42 million!  Not exactly affordable, but for a millionaire who could handle that splurge, it would be money well spent.

Can you imagine what it would be like to live in a home like this?!?!  Talk about the perfect setting for a Bed of Roses.  If I lived here, nobody could tell me not to go home!  But although I try to keep the faith that one day we'll win the Powerball {like this lucky NJ man!}, for now I guess we'll hold on to what we got while livin' on a prayer for that winning lotto ticket and a penthouse with these views!  ;)  {Can you tell I'm a big Bon Jovi fan?!}

{Un}Real Estate

Have you ever seen photos of a home that made you drool?  I have.  One of my favorite pass times is perusing photos of well-manicured and expansive homes, most of which I know I'll never live in.  Call me crazy, but the more unrealistic the home the more interesting I find it!  {Here's an example I blogged about this summer.}  These homes are FASCINATING to look at, but totally unattainable for average people, so I decided I'd start a series dedicated to "{Un}Real Estate".  This series will be all about eye candy, so apologies in advance for the superficial nature of the posts if housing eye candy isn't your thing.  :)

Midtown Manhattan Mansion

The NYC real estate market is all abuzz about this penthouse that just hit the market.  It's a 6 bedroom, 9 bathroom, 8,000 sq ft triplex penthouse with 3,000 sq ft of terrace space that affords 360 degree views, located only 3 blocks from Central Park.  Oh, did I mention it's listed for ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS?  Wow.  Let's take a look at it!

Even though a bit dated, the kitchen is nice -- an open layout with beautiful wood and lots of storage space:

I wish there were more photos contained of the other rooms!  I just love snooping through viewing real estate listings!  :)  How's this for a shameful admission: even though we already own one more condo than we need, I still receive (and actively look through!) the real estate updates we signed up for when we were in the market a year ago!  I can't help myself -- I'm just always so curious as to what's out there and I love seeing how people decorate and stage their homes.  It's a hobby.  :)

Aside from the price tag, what do YOU think of this place?  Way too 90s grandiose or not so bad?  Let's play the "if I had one hundred million dollars" game.... would you buy it or pass in favor of something more modernly styled?
